Layers, layers, layers

Layers have been a big trend for quite some time now, and they continue to come back in style every year. There are many different places that you can layer your clothing and accessories. Some that you probably never even though of before. Layering is a good trend to get into, especially for the fall and winter months, since the temperatures will be cooling off, and you want to try to stay warm.

*One place you can layer is at your feet. First add a pair of tights, leggings, or even jeans. Next, slip on a pair of knee high socks, or leg warmers over the top of it. Finish it of with your favorite pair of boots. This is also a great way to add texture and warmth to your outfit.

*Layering your tops is next. Start with a simple tee shirts, or tank top. Next put on some type of denim button up shirt or blouse. I recommend leaving all pieces of clothing unbuttoned on top of your first layer, so you can easily see all the layers to your outfit. On top of the denim, throw on a big sweater. Again, i would look for a cardigan or sweater than you can leave unbuttoned, or open. Since the first two layers of your outfit were solid colors and quite simple, don't be afraid to go big with print or color somewhere within your layers, as long as you make sure not to clash colors and print too much. For extra warmth, add a scarf to finish off this cozy, layered look.

*Layering your jewelry is the perfect way to finish off any outfit! Necklaces are an easy thing to layer, considering they come in many different lengths, and you can adjust the length of the chains. Mix different colored necklaces, different bead sizes, and different textures. Bracelets are yet another piece of jewelry that can easily be layered. Mixing your bracelets and watches just like you mixed your necklaces will add a lot of visual interest to your outfit because of your arm candy. We can't forget about rings! Rings can be stacked on top of one another as another form of layering!
